Olivier Gaudet is a Canadian choral conductor, pianist and composer.
He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting at the Universit/ de Sherbrooke after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Music (piano major, voice secondary) at the Universit/ de Moncton. His musical life is rooted in choral work: he has sung and collaborated with ensembles such as Choeur Louisbourg, Choeur de la mission Saint-Charles, Choeur de chambre du Qu/be/c, as well as the 2024 edition of the Nation Youth Choir of Canada.
As a conductor, Olivier is interested in creating rehearsals that are technically rigorous but warm, inclusive and singer-centered. His repertoire spans from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary music, with a special interest in French-language and Canadian composers.
As a composer and arranger, he enjoys writing for SATB choirs, often with piano or organ, and is gradually building a catalogue of lithurgical and concert works that he plans to publish and self-distribute here on this site.
